She also enjoyed writing cards, letters, and postcards to her beloved family and friends. Maggie authored several articles for the Pioneer Times Newspaper (even being named “Maggie of Murphy Lake”). ![]() She had a love of photography, always capturing candid shots and portraits of those she loved and places she had visited, and she also loved writing. During her 60+ year tenure at Vassar Nazarene Church she served as Sunday School teacher, Jr Church Leader and Church Secretary. She was a Founding Member of the Millington Junior Women’s Club and an Auxiliary member of Gideons International. Maggie was a highly active member within her community and local church. She was also employed at Mallory’s restaurant and served as an aide for Millington Schools. Maggie worked at Genesee Bank and held various positions at Welco, ITT Plastics and Volplex. While she stayed home with children when they were young, she returned to the workforce as they grew older. Maggie married Clifton (Bill) Wilbur White Jr of Vassar on March 2, 1963, and together they raised 2 sons. A graduate of Millington High School, Class of 1962, Maggie proudly served as Editor of her high school Yearbook during her senior year. ![]() She was an active member of 4H throughout childhood and teenage years, even winning the Public Speaking Award in 1962. After residing in Munger for a few years, the family moved to a farm in the Millington area. ![]() Maggie was born on Jto Kenneth and Nellie (Lee) Preston in Bay City. Margaret (Maggie) Mae White was peacefully called home to be with the Lord on Friday, Februat the age of 80.
